Cancel sale/return David’s Bridal dress?

I am matron of honor in my friend’s wedding and she is allowing us to select our own gowns (within a set of specifications). I saw a dress on the David’s Bridal website and found it at my local David’s Bridal store. I had a hard time finding a dress to fit her specifications, so I jumped on this opportunity. I was pretty satisfied about the dress given the trouble I had finding one. Living two hours away from the store, today I called and paid for the dress over the phone with the local store. They had it in stock on the floor and did not special order it for me. I went into an entirely different store later in the afternoon (in my hometown) and the perfect dress was staring me straight in the eye and I knew I would much prefer to spend my money on the dress (and wear it to Brittany’s wedding). I have not yet picked up the first dress from the David’s Bridal store (it is 2 hours away from me).

I am wondering what my best bet is for getting the dress returned or the sale canceled. It has never left the store and is a brand new style that was not on sale and is brand new for this season (and not special ordered. . . I think it was similar to a “sample” but it was not discounted as such, nor was that term ever used by the salesperson). I never signed a credit card receipt though I did give them my credit card number over the phone to charge the sale. I was in a rush when I made the call and the saleslady I spoke to assured me that they would help me if the dress didn’t fit, and I know I should have pressed for more specifics on their return policy. Only after seeing the other dress from a different store that I really liked, did I look into the return policy and see that David’s Bridal generally does not accept returns. This all happened today (Friday).

Given that the dress never left the store, was not special ordered, and was paid for literally just hours ago, am I stuck with it? Is there anything I might be able to do to cancel the sale or return the dress?

What tax exemptions or allowances would an Outside Sales Representative qualify for?

In North Dakota; commission income; uses own vehicle/pays own gas;

Can you write off: gas, business cards, cell phone bills, suits and other items needed to make sales?

Will I Pay Capital Gains on Home Sale in Canada?

I inherited some money and bought a home in my third year of University. I lived there for two years while I finished my undergrad and had all my bills (gas, hydro, phone, credit card, and cable/internet) delivered to my house.
However, I did not change the address listed on my driver’s lisense or Social Insurance Number because I knew my time there would be relatively brief.
Does this mean I will have to pay capital gains on the house now that I am selling it, or is that enough proof that I did in fact reside there?

When convenience stores sell things, what percentage of the sales do they get?

When you go into convenience stores and buy keychains, phone cards, or anything else off of the counter or out of displays, what percentage does the convenience store keep (on average). I don’t even know where to find stuff like this out?? Thanks for any help!
