i live in Ga, Atl , i never own cell phone and this my first time to buy one , all i want cheap one just to call and recive phone no any other opition’s , i want one prepaid that i just pay when i want to use it . can u tell me what a good cell phone and prepaid cards well fit that . thx

Mobile phone prepaid simcard..?

I got this phone that works with a tiny little plastic card that goes under the battery in (some of them) mobile phones, also know as the Simcard. Well since most of the american phones does not work with a replacable simcard was i wondering if i can just buy a Sim Only or a cheap phone that works with a prepaid sim card. I already have a phone (I came from Europe but It does work here!!) so I only need just a simcard on which i can put prepaid money (plastic cards from wal-mart for example). I don’t need any annual plans or something because it is only for 6 months.
Is this possible?
I have been to a couple of hardware stores like Best Buy but they seems not to know what i`m looking for….
I would like to use Alltel or AT&T as carrier..

And if I just buy a, lets say 10 dollar phone, and take the sim card out and but it in my own phone…then I don’t have to sign any plans, do i?

Is there any cheaper way too reboost my prepaid phone other than paying 20 dollars for a reboost card cuase T-mobile and other companies has phone cards for 10 dollars but boost mobile and tracfone starts out at 20 dollars and sometimes i dont have 20 dollars i went too a walmart and was shopping for a 10 boost card and i came accross only 20 & 30 dollars airtime cards and they had a special card that puts 25 dollars on your card i believe its a unoversal acrd for different cellphone companies made by fast card so now the question is there a cheaper way too reboost my phone

Can i activate a T-Mobile SIM from a cheap phone for my iPhone?

Later today i’m probably going to head over to Target to try and get a T-Mobile SIM for my unlocked iPhone. The plan is to buy a cheap prepaid $19.99 phone and activate the SIM for my iPhone. I know people say you can buy the SIM for $9.99, but i dont have a T-Mobile store near me and i’d rather pay $10 more to have it now rather than wait for online shipping.

Anyway, i have a Sidekick i got from a friend, and my plan is to buy a cheapo $20 phone, and activate the SIM card using my Sidekick to get the sidekick plan, and then pop it into my iPhone.

Don’t say i can’t get the sidekick plan on my iPhone, because i have done thorough research, and i know you can. My only worry is that the SIM is somehow locked to the cheapo phone like Tracfone and Net10, so i’d be forced to activate using the cheapo phone, instead of my sidekick. Is this true? Or is the prepaid SIM card that is included basically like the starter kit that is sold for $9.99 at T-Mobile stores?
Just to clarify, my iPhone is unlocked…
I’m just wondering when i activate the phone, i wont be allowed to get the sidekick plan, even though i have a sidekick and the corresponding IMEI, because the SIM came with a phone that was not a sidekick

will all sim cards that are made for prepaid cell phones made to interchange with other phones?

i want to purchase prepaid cell phone and its cheaper to buy the sim card on ebay.i dont know which phone i will get yet and need to know if the cards will interchange.like will the sim card for verizone,at&t,t mobile,tracfone and net10 interchange or does each phone have its own card and nothing else will work in it.

I’m trying to find a nice prepaid phone plan with cheap minutes and no daily use fees. So far all I can find is plan with minute cards, but those can be a bit pricey.

Cheap prepaid phone in Texas?

In a week I’ll be going to Texas for a month. I would like to get a phone, in order to contact friends (in Texas). I do want a rather cheap plan however, and no contract seeing as it’s only for a month and I won’t be using that phone a whole lot anyway. I have (in Belgium) a Nokia 1661, would it be possible top buy a sim card and do it that way? If so, what provider would give me the best plan and coverage? I’ll be staying in a small town in the Lubbock area, therefore not all providers (at&t e.g.) are possible.

parents arent allowing me to be on the phone after 10… even on weekends…. even my laptop. i am 18 and yes people tell me to get my own plan, but its not as easy as it sounds. does anyone know where to get a cheap prepaid phone and prepaid cards or maybe even just a gadget to text message on? also if you could tell me the price, that would be great. thank you.
