international prepaid phone cards

My daughter is heading to Spain for a few months, what should we do for a phone. Heard the airport has some.?

Her cell won’t work there, not international but the cells you can get here cost $1.30 a minute. We have heard the best idea is a prepaid phone from the airport when you arrive in spain. We did buy a international phone card from costco but still don’t know how they will work. Help – please.

Prepaid international calling card from US to Turkey?

Hi everyone,

I am an MBA marketing intern working for Pingo providing consumers and business customers prepaid calling service. Pingo is a service of iBasis, one of the ten largest carriers of international phone calls in the world.

I have some questions and any answer would be very much appreciated:

-Have you ever heard of Pingo or iBasis?
-Have you ever used prepaid calling card or visited Pingo website?
-How do you make your international calls?
-If you use international calling cards, which card(s) do you use? Why? How did you hear of it?
-While choosing an international calling card, which criteria do you consider? Which one is the most important for you?

Thanks in advance….

Best Regards

I’m going to Italy in a month. Anyone know where I can get a good deal on a prepaid international sim card?

Getting phone unlocked this weekend, now I just need to find a good deal on an international sim card. Everywhere I’ve looked (eBay, online) is charging an arm and a leg on cards. Other option is just waiting until I’m in Italy. Anyone know if these can these be purchased at a decent price once I’m there?

Any other help/advice on international cell phone use would be great too!

Always read the fine prints on Prepaid Phone Cards?

Some people just don’t read the fine prints on a prepaid card

computer can say any amount of minutes that does not mean you get it, some calling card providers say 50 minutes but in reality you get 45 seconds instead of 60 seconds for each minute, others charge fees of $.69 cents per connected calls

Make three calls lasting a minute or two each time and tell me how much money or minutes you have left.

I can proudly say that 1 plus gives you every minute for your money with no fees at all, you try it.

I would not take my hard earned money and buy bonita

See the fine prints for Bonita

Terms and Conditions – Bonita Senorita

DOMESTIC AND INTERNATIONAL RATES MAY VARY ACCORDING TO THE STATE AND COUNTRY OF DESTINATION. AN ADDITIONAL OF $0.69 WILL APPLY WHEN CALLING FROMA PAYPHONE. A WEEKLY MAINTENANCE FEE OF $0.69 WILL APPLY AFTER FIRST USE. ALL FEES, SURCHARGES AND TAXES MAY CHANGE WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE.

Can someone PLEASE teach me how to use my phone card?

I have a Verizon international prepaid phone card and a Verizon long distance prepaid phone card. Both of them say they are usable in the UK. However, whenever i call the only number i can find, and give them the “access service code” 153 (which is supposedly the code I give calling from the UK)… and they put me through, the phone makes no noise and I am on the line for a minute and a half before it hangs up.

I have no way of calling America other than these phone cards. Does anyone have any helpful advice? It would be truly appreciated. Thank you for your time and help.
I have actually been trying for days now. I am so frustrated i feel like my head is going to explode. I am one of the most easy going people but the difficulty with which this supposedly “easy to use” phone card has caused me, makes me want to kill everyone that works for verizon

How do I make an international call from my cell phone using a prepaid phone card?

I have a phone card that says it has 670 minutes on it. When I dial the number on the back, and then put my pin number in, it says press 1 to make a call. I am assuming this is because 1 is out country code…so if I want to call a number in Israel, do I have to put in 011 and then the rest of the numbers? Because the card isn’t accepting that!! Help please!!! What do I do to make the call go through?
The only thing this card says is “you cannot use this card for 900, 700, or 976 number calls, to place certain toll free, operator assisted, third party billed, or collect calls” “International rates vary and are subject to change”
