Cheap International calling plans?

We moved from Costa Rica, where we had vonage, to Texas and want to call back and forth from Costa Rica. We cannot get Vonage where we live now because they only have satelite internet and tv. We don’t want to keep using calling cards. Any other ideas or phone plans like Vonage?

Best Prepaid Cell Phone Company for Florida?

I will be traveling to Florida, Nevada and Hawaii for a couple of months and want to avoid International roaming rates. I have an unblocked Nokia N95 which I use in Asia and Europe. I just buy a local prepaid SIM which offers cheap calls, especially International.

Are there any US cell phone carriers that sell SIM cards for prepaid account without buying a phone? If so, which offers the best coverage and rates.

How should I go about making phone calls while traveling abroad?

I’ll be leaving to spend the summer in Europe in about a week and I’m clueless as to how to stay in touch with family and friends while I’m away. I don’t want to take my cell phone with me because a) knowing me I’d lose it and b) rates are outrageous with my company. I read about purchasing a phone through STA travel for relatively cheap but the rates are still a little expensive. Does anyone have any advice or past experience to share for staying in contact while abroad? Should I just purchase calling cards? Where can I buy international calling cards and will there be many phones available with which I can use the cards? Do international hotels generally have computers with internet access available for guest use like those in the US? I don’t have much experience traveling internationally so I’m pretty much clueless and I can’t imagine not talking to my family/boyfriend for 2 months. Any insight would be appreciated.

I need a plan so I can make international calls with my cell phone.?

I have been looking around the web for the best deal and I am thinking these pay as you go phone cards may be the way to go. The best one I found so far is from http://www.tel3save.com . They have detailed on-line billing which is cool. Does anyone know of any with cheaper rates?

Cheapest International pre-paid phone?

I am travelling to Switzerland for a week and need to be able to call back to California. Don’t need a ton of minutes, but would like to have a cell phone instead of a calling card so I don’t have to find a phone or deal with the other charges involved with pay phones. Any body purchased one and had good experience with it?

International cell phone usage — cheapest way?

I will be in the Netherlands for 1 month and need a cell phone to call the US (personal use). It is also likely that the US will need to call me (business conference calls). Is it cheaper to get a phone in Europe or get something from the US with a US number (ie: GoPhone)? I imagine my company would get charged for international calling if I got the phone there… would they be charged if I got a US number?
Is it possible to use Skype for the conference calls and then get a cellphone for personal use?
I currently have verizon, so I think buying an unlockable phone with a sim card is out of the question… or is it?

What is the best and cheapest international calling card to call the U.S. from Brazil?

I work out of the country a lot, and I will be working in Brazil quite a bit. Don’t wanna pay the high roaming charges for my U.S. phone or the $5 a minute from an in country cell.

Cheapest way to Call Thailand from Vietnam?

I’ll visit Honoi, Vietnam in the end of August. And I’d like to know how could I call back to Bangkok, Thailand with the cheapest rate. Are there any international phone cards I can buy there?
Someone suggests me using AT&T, but I still have no idea what it is and how it works.
